Early February 2023, the Codes were invited to play a set at Glasgow's Centre for the Contemporary Arts, as part of the Hungry Beat evening. The book, Hungry Beat, and the event celebrated the post-punk period of Scottish music. Thanks to Ann Nazario for taking this video of one of the songs we played.

During the lockdown of 2020 the band recorded a lockdown version of the title track from their EP, I Got Lost. Having heard the track, Charles Mutter, a friend of the band, offered to add a string section to the track. So we re-mixed it with Charles adding a string quartet, for yet another, an unexpected version of the song. Still in lockdown in spring 2021, the band wrote, recorded and released a brand new lockdown track called 'All Better...
March 2020, the I Got Lost E.P. available as a limited edition CD. This is the band’s first record release in over 30 years, with four brand new songs, including I Got Lost, Some People, The Journey and Always Another. It breaks our hearts to have to do it, but we've no choice but to postpone our launch gig for the I Got Lost E.P. that was scheduled for April 2nd 2020. I guess it's not unexpected, but the venue has just closed down “until further notice” in line with the latest coronavirus, though we were already thinking we might have to postpone anyway- asking a crowd of people to come together is probably not the responsible thing to do right now. It's been fantastic being in the studio again, and to have completed all four tracks for our forthcoming E.P. - huge thanks to Johnny Smillie at La Chunky Studios in Glasgow.
